Install the theme
Add Maison to your theme library, preview it, then publish it.

Installing a theme doesn't change your live store: Maison is added to your theme library, where you can set it up at your own pace. Customers only see it once you publish it.
Before you start
- You need an account with permission to manage themes (the store owner, or a staff member with Themes access).
- A Shopify store can hold up to 20 themes in its library. Delete one if you've reached the limit.
- Have your logo, a few photographs, and your menus ready: setup will go faster.
Add Maison to your store
From the Shopify Theme Store
Open the theme listing
In the Theme Store, open Maison's listing and choose the style to install (Maison, Couture, or Riviera). The style is only a starting point: you can switch at any time.
Try or buy the theme
Click Try theme to add it to your library for free and set it up before you buy, or click Buy theme.
Find it in your library
From your Shopify admin, go to Online StoreThemes. Maison appears in your Theme library.
From a .zip file
If you received Maison as a .zip file:
Open the themes page
From your Shopify admin, go to Online StoreThemes.
Upload the file
Click Add theme, then Upload zip file, and select the file. Don't unzip the archive.
Wait for the upload to finish
The theme appears in your Theme library after a few moments.
Preview and set up
In your library, click Customize next to Maison to open the theme editor. You can also open the … menu and choose Preview to browse your store with Maison without changing anything.
Publish the theme
When you're happy with your store:
Check your store
Browse the home page, a collection, a product page, the cart, and search, on both desktop and phone. The checklist helps you cover everything.
Publish
In Online StoreThemes, open Maison's … menu and choose Publish. Your previously published theme goes back to the library untouched, so you can switch back at any time.
Make a backup copy
Before any major change — and always before touching the code — duplicate the theme: open the … menu and choose Duplicate. The copy keeps all your settings and content and lets you return to the previous state. You can also choose Download theme file from the same menu: Shopify emails it to you.
