Apps

Maison is an Online Store 2.0 theme: compatible apps are added from the theme editor, without editing code.

App blocks

You add an app block like any other block, with Add block, in sections that accept them:

Product page	Product reviews, size charts, trust badges, back-in-stock alerts
Featured product	Product reviews
Page	Forms, store locators
Custom section	Instagram gallery, reviews widget
Footer	Loyalty program, badges

To place an app block somewhere else on a page, add a Custom section where you want it and put the block in it.

App embeds

App embeds add floating or invisible elements: live chat, cookie banners, tracking pixels. Turn them on in the theme editor, in the App embeds menu (icon in the sidebar).

Apps that ask you to edit code

Some older apps ask you to paste code into the theme. Choose an Online Store 2.0 compatible app instead. If you have no other option, use the Custom Liquid section or block rather than editing the theme files, and read Editing code.

An app doesn't display correctly

Theme support checks that the problem isn't coming from Maison, but can't fix how a third-party app works. Contact the app developer first: they know their code and can adapt it to the theme. See our support policy.
