The Journal section highlights the latest articles from a Shopify blog: one large featured article, with the next ones beside it. It's ideal for behind-the-scenes stories, artisan profiles or care tips.

The link ("All stories" by default) goes to the blog page.
Layout
- On desktop, the first article takes a large column on the left, spanning the full height of the articles stacked on the right.
- With a single article, it takes the full width, image and text side by side.
- On phones, the articles stack.
Each article shows its image (landscape format), its title and its date. Only the featured article shows an excerpt: the excerpt entered in the article, or failing that its first 28 words.
Special cases
- No blog selected: placeholder articles are shown, including on your online store.
- Blog with no articles: a help message appears instead (despite its wording, this message is visible on your online store).
- Article without an image: the article is shown without an image frame.
