Newsletter
A sign-up form connected to your Shopify customers.
The Newsletter section invites shoppers to sign up for your emails. Addresses are saved directly to your Shopify customer list.

The content is centered, and the form is at most 26rem wide. The field follows the theme's field style; the submit button is an arrow, announced as "Subscribe" to screen readers.
Where to find your subscribers
Each sign-up creates (or updates) a customer in Customers, with the newsletter tag and email marketing consent. If double opt-in (confirming the subscription by email) is turned on in your store's marketing settings, the sign-up stays pending until the customer confirms their address.
You can then email your subscribers with Shopify Email or any email marketing app connected to Shopify.
After submitting
Submitting the form reloads the page. On success, the message "Thanks for subscribing." appears below the field. If there's an error (an invalid address, for example), the field is flagged and the message "Your subscription could not be saved" appears with the details returned by Shopify.
Consent and legal notices
The form has no checkbox or legal notice. Depending on your country and your customers (GDPR in Europe, for example), add an information sentence in the Subtext, with a link to your privacy policy.
